On the Road Again...
Just can't wait to get on the road again!
Oh, yes. My secret is out. Willie, you are my guilty pleasure. Those braids. That guitar. That headband. That voice! The weed... not so much.
It's all Gram's fault...
(He's been known to moonlight, too...)

Oh, Willie Nelson. Whenever I see a picture of him, I just want to hand him some soap. :) But, I do enjoy a few of his songs, if I'm being perfectly honest. Great choice!
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking up.
Oh, I didn't say I wanted to get *near* him... I just like his music. From the 80's, when my Gram listened to him non-stop. It reminds me of her. And I have his "Pretty Paper" album in our Christmas rotation, too.
DeleteThen there's that time when Gram made me go with her to see him at the New York State Fair... (She embarrassed me SO BAD! Looking back, it was great.)
I'm not a fan of country or anything countrified ... but how could you NOT like him? The man is a living legend. Great post, Kelly. Thanks for unloading with us. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm not either, and this area is big into country music. Heck, there's a NASCAR track ten miles from my house! But he'll forever bring back great memories of my crazy grandmother. He's the only man she would have left my grandfather for, and he knew it! lol
DeleteWe keep her "Willie" bandana in our motor home so she can come camping with us, and my mother even named her dog Willie. Oy!
I'm in the not a fan of country group also, but he really has had a few great songs that cross all boundaries. Cool trivia fact: he wrote the Patsy Cline hit Crazy, which is fantastic.
ReplyDeleteI knew that about "Crazy." His phrasing is awesome. :-)
DeleteAfraid I do like his kind of country. And love his stuff with Ray Charles
ReplyDelete? What nascar track....Nosey
